About the role
You will join Verkada's Sales Strategy and Operations team to enhance sales efficiency and intelligence across the organization. This position owns the development of insights and management of operations that directly shape sales performance and strategic initiatives. You are responsible for leading impactful cross-functional projects from initial concept through rigorous analysis and the delivery of actionable recommendations. In this capacity, you will contribute to strategy and planning by generating detailed reports for business reviews and offering data-driven insights for high-stakes decision-making. The role requires you to improve systems and operations by identifying inefficiencies and implementing enhancements, potentially within Salesforce.com or other core operational tools. You will support sales enablement by creating structured content for new hires and tracking key metrics to understand behaviors that drive success and scale them across the team. Expect to engage in daily hands-on problem-solving to address immediate operational needs while simultaneously building solutions for long-term organizational goals. You will regularly utilize Salesforce and Google Sheets/Excel, collaborating closely with stakeholders across sales, marketing, operations, product, and finance to resolve system issues, review analyses, and develop future-state processes.

What you'll do

- Improve systems and operations by identifying and implementing enhancements to workflows and processes, potentially within Salesforce.com or other tools.
- Support sales enablement by creating content for new hires and tracking metrics to understand and scale top performer behaviors.
- Engage in daily hands-on problem-solving to address immediate needs while building for long-term organizational goals.
- Regularly use Salesforce and Google Sheets/Excel, and collaborate with stakeholders across sales, marketing, operations, product, and finance to resolve system issues, review analyses, and develop future processes.
- Own the analysis of sales performance metrics, translating complex data into clear narratives that guide strategic adjustments.
- Drive end-to-end ownership of projects, coordinating with cross-functional partners to define scope, timelines, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into sales health and operational efficiency.
- Partner with the sales leadership team to diagnose bottlenecks and design experiments to optimize pipeline generation and conversion.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with strategic objectives and user needs.
- Conduct deep dives into sales activities to identify best practices and areas for improvement across the organization.
- Support the execution of go-to-market initiatives by providing analysis and recommendations that influence prioritization and resource allocation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in consulting, banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or a startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and advance projects with minimal supervision, including leading cross-functional workstreams and gaining leadership support.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including structuring analyses to answer business questions and contributing to data architecture discussions.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to independently solve problems, iterate quickly, and document solutions clearly for various audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Adaptability to change and ambiguity, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness to work on-site five days per week.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier institution.
- Prior experience in Sales, Sales Operations, or Strategy.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, or Looker.
- Previous Salesforce experience.
