About the role
You will manage the full lifecycle of field marketing initiatives in assigned territories, ensuring alignment with the broader business objectives of the Veeva organization. You will own the planning, execution, and optimization of campaigns that bridge the gap between strategic corporate messaging and on-the-ground sales execution. This position requires you to act as a strategic partner to the Sales leadership, interpreting market feedback and translating it into actionable plans for the field. You will be responsible for orchestrating demand generation programs that drive pipeline and revenue within your designated scope. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure marketing efforts support the commercial success of Veeva's cloud solutions. You will leverage data and insights to continuously refine tactics and demonstrate the tangible impact of marketing activities. This is a critical role designed to maintain momentum and consistency in customer engagement during a period of transition.
Key facts
What you'll do
Develop and implement field marketing strategies that align with the product roadmap and sales priorities for your assigned region.
Own the end-to-end management of events, from initial concept through to execution and post-event analysis, to maximize attendee engagement and pipeline generation.
Collaborate with the Sales Operations team to ensure accurate forecasting and territory planning to meet or exceed booked revenue targets.
Create compelling content and assets tailored for field sales teams, enabling them to have effective conversations with customers in live scenarios.
Partner with the Customer Success organization to identify reference customers and develop case studies that highlight successful outcomes and adoption stories.
Manage the digital marketing execution in partnership with the Corporate team, adapting online assets for local field use and tracking performance metrics.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing timely intelligence to inform strategic shifts in field approaches and messaging.
Coordinate with Product Management to ensure field feedback regarding feature adoption and customer sentiment is captured and communicated effectively.
Utilize marketing automation tools to manage campaigns, segment audiences, and report on key performance indicators for stakeholders.
Champion the adoption of Veeva values in all external interactions, ensuring that the Do the Right Thing principle guides every customer touchpoint.
Drive the creation of sales enablement materials that are practical, easy to use, and focused on overcoming specific customer objections in the Spanish market.
Maintain a rigorous pipeline view, working closely with Sales Leaders to identify risks and opportunities within the assigned territories.
Act as the primary marketing lead for specific events or campaigns, taking ownership of budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
Report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, providing insights that demonstrate the value of field marketing activities to the organization.
Requirements
You must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in marketing, business administration, or a related discipline.
You must have a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing or a related field, demonstrating a track record of increasing responsibility.
You must have at least 3 years of experience specifically in field marketing, demand generation, or sales enablement within the life sciences or technology sectors.
You must be fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with local teams and customers in the Barcelona region.
You must have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
You must be comfortable working with data and analytics, using insights to drive decisions and measure the success of marketing programs.
You must have strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of tailoring messages for different audiences, including executives and technical users.
You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and marketing technology tools, including experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
Nice to have
Experience with Veeva products and the life sciences industry is preferred, providing context for how marketing solutions are applied.
Hands-on experience with digital marketing channels and campaign management within a SaaS environment is highly valued.
A background in public benefit corporations and stakeholder capitalism models is advantageous given our organizational structure.
Practical notes
This is a 12-month fixed-term position designed to cover a temporary absence.
Work model is hybrid, allowing for flexibility between home and the office in Barcelona.
Travel is not expected as part of the core responsibilities for this role.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Spain without the need for sponsorship.
The start date is fixed for October 1st, 2026, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
