Staff Product Designer, Product Infrastructure
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end design of the foundational platform capabilities that power Valon's mortgage servicing business and will define the structure and patterns of our Product Infrastructure team. You will translate ambiguous, high-stakes problems into clear, user-centered design systems and reusable components that accelerate product development across the organization. Your work will directly shape how thousands of mortgage servicing operators interact with complex financial workflows, simplifying regulated processes and building trust through transparent interfaces. You will partner deeply with cross-functional stakeholders to uncover unmet needs and turn them into scalable, elegant solutions that balance user empathy with business and regulatory realities. This role requires you to move with urgency in a fast-paced startup while maintaining a meticulous eye on design quality and long-term system integrity. You will mentor designers and partners, fostering a culture of craft and collaboration that raises the bar for product excellence across Valon. By leading the design of the core platform, you enable other product teams to ship faster and with greater confidence, driving critical impact on Valon's business transformation.
