About the role

You will own the end-to-end strategy, architecture, and governance of Valar Atomics' supply chain systems, ensuring they support our mission to deliver scalable, clean, high-temperature nuclear power. This role requires you to define and enforce data standards across the entire supply chain, including item master data, bills of materials, and supplier records to guarantee accuracy, compliance, and auditability. You will partner deeply with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT to translate business and manufacturing needs into robust, scalable systems and processes. You will build and lead a lean, high-performing team focused on designing, implementing, and continuously improving supply chain tools, controls, and reporting. You will drive change management for new systems and process rollouts, ensuring smooth adoption and uninterrupted business continuity. In this capacity, you will also own the roadmap and architecture for all supply chain systems, ensuring they remain scalable, compliant, and extensible as Valar grows.

What you'll do

• Own the roadmap, architecture, and governance of all supply chain systems including ERP, MRP, WMS, and TMS to support NPI and scale phases.
• Establish and enforce data governance standards for the item master, bill of materials, and supplier records to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and auditability.
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT to translate business requirements into scalable systems and processes.
• Build and lead a lean team responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving supply chain tools, controls, and reporting.
• Drive change management for new systems and process rollouts to ensure user adoption and business continuity.
• Define and track key performance indicators and reporting standards to provide leadership with real-time visibility into supply chain execution and performance.
• Design and implement robust change management, testing, and release controls to safeguard system integrity and business operations.
• Ensure supply chain systems are scalable, extensible, and aligned with evolving business needs, manufacturing scale-up, and regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate with operations and logistics to optimize workflows, material flow, and integration points across the value chain.
• Act as the primary systems owner and advocate for supply chain data integrity, driving standards and best practices across the organization.
• Oversee the selection and integration of supply chain software solutions, ensuring they meet technical, operational, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to align system capabilities with strategic business objectives and manufacturing goals.
• Monitor system performance, identify gaps, and lead initiatives to resolve issues and improve reliability and efficiency.
• Support the development and execution of supply chain strategies that enable fast, factory-made nuclear systems deployment.
• Ensure all supply chain activities uphold the highest standards of quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated experience in supply chain systems management, including ERP, MRP, WMS, and TMS platforms.
• Strong background in data governance, with proven ability to manage item masters, BOMs, and supplier data.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving process improvements in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into system solutions.
• Proven ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to leadership and technical audiences.
• Ability to work autonomously with ownership and accountability for results.
• Willingness to collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to align supply chain capabilities.
• Commitment to building scalable, compliant, and auditable supply chain systems.
