What you'll do
- Position Title: .Net Admin
Location: Washington, DC Duration: 6 Months Need Locals Need Full GC or USC The .NET administrator performs installation, configuration, and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of IIS and ASP.NET applications in a Windows environment.
- Major Responsibilities - Install, configure, tune and support multiple IIS servers - Install .NET apps and configure web services on IIS servers - Assist application, development, and testing teams - Work with vendor support to assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues (service requests and follow up) - Develop support documentation and train team members - Be available 24/7 to support MiddleWare team as needed Qualifications -- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: - 3+ years of experience in supporting ASP.NET applications - 3+ years of Web Architect experience hosting IIS-based solutions - 3+ years working with different Windows Enterprise Server versions (Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 2012) - Experience with Windows and Linux environment - Configuration of .NET apps deployed as Web services, Integration platforms, 3rd party components - Clustering at Web server level for farm deployment - Configuration of IIS Webserver for n-tier apps for high volume site - Performance tuning of web servers and applications hosted in IIS - Hands on technical experience in SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 and IIS 5,6, 7.5 production environments - Configuration of IIS and SQL Server for ASP.NET hosted applications on IIS - Experience with change management and automated deployments - Minimum 2 years of PowerShell and/or VBScript.
