About the role
Twitch is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead community-focused initiatives across the platform and shape how millions of users connect every day. This role centers on crafting the experience that brings streamers and viewers together within Twitch's live streaming ecosystem, where real-time interaction and shared culture drive engagement. The Sr. Product Manager, Community will define product strategy, prioritize impactful features, and work closely with engineering and design teams to build tools that strengthen community bonds and foster healthy interactions. You will own the full end-to-end lifecycle of community products, from initial research and ideation through development, launch, and ongoing iteration based on user feedback.

What you'll do
Define and execute the product roadmap for community features that directly impact how users discover, follow, and interact with creators on Twitch.
Partner with engineering managers and technical leads to scope, prioritize, and deliver community-focused product initiatives across multiple release cycles.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to deeply understand how streamers and viewers interact, form connections, and build communities on the platform.
Analyze engagement metrics and behavioral data to identify opportunities for improving community health, retention, and organic growth across the platform.
Collaborate closely with design teams to create intuitive, accessible community management tools and moderation features that serve diverse user needs.
Lead cross-functional planning sessions and roadmap reviews to align engineering, design, data science, and policy stakeholders on community product priorities and timelines.
Manage the product backlog, groom user stories, and facilitate sprint planning ceremonies for the community product squad on a regular cadence.
Present product updates, roadmap decisions, and success metrics to senior leadership and executive stakeholders in clear, compelling presentations and written documents.
Work hand-in-hand with trust and safety teams to ensure all community features meet moderation standards, content policies, and safety requirements.
Iterate on existing community features by synthesizing user feedback, support tickets, and behavioral analytics to drive continuous improvement and refinement.
Represent the community product perspective in company-wide product reviews, strategy offsites, and cross-team alignment sessions to ensure cohesive platform direction.
Drive the adoption and awareness of new community tools through close coordination with marketing, creator relations, and communications teams during launch phases.
Requirements
5 or more years of experience in product management within consumer internet, social platforms, or live streaming companies.
Demonstrated track record of successfully shipping community engagement or social interaction products that achieved meaningful scale and user adoption.
Deep understanding of live streaming platforms, creator economies, online community dynamics, and the unique challenges of real-time social products.
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data science, content policy, and trust and safety organizations.
Strong proficiency in defining product requirements, writing clear user stories, and establishing acceptance criteria that engineering teams can execute against.
Ability to make rigorous, data-informed product decisions using both quantitative analytics and qualitative research methods to validate hypotheses.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex product concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a product role.
Nice to have
Hands-on experience with real-time chat systems, live interaction features, or social engagement tools on streaming or community platforms.
Familiarity with community moderation workflows, trust and safety practices, content policy development, or platform governance frameworks.
Background in working directly with creator communities, influencer ecosystems, or content producer communities in a product or strategy capacity.
Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies, experimentation frameworks, and statistical analysis techniques for optimizing community product features and user experiences.
Skills & tools
Product management frameworks including RICE scoring, opportunity solution trees, PR/PRD authoring, and hypothesis-driven product development practices.
Data analysis capabilities using SQL, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar analytics platforms to track community health metrics and user behavior patterns.
Prototyping and wireframing proficiency with tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Balsamiq to communicate design intent and collaborate with UX teams.
Project management fluency with tools like Jira, Asana, or Linear for backlog management, sprint planning, and cross-team dependency tracking.
User research methodology skills including conducting interviews, designing surveys, running usability tests, and maintaining research repositories and synthesis documents.
Working knowledge of live streaming technologies, WebRTC protocols, real-time messaging systems, or content delivery networks relevant to streaming platforms.

This role is based in New York City and operates on a hybrid work model requiring regular in-office presence at the Twitch NYC office.
