About the role

You are a meticulous field operative who ensures that every street and public space in your sector is documented with precision and care. You own the safe operation of the data collection vehicle while executing complex capture protocols that include 360-degree imagery and lidar scanning. You are responsible for verifying that each predefined route is followed exactly, flagging any deviations or obstacles that could compromise the integrity of the dataset. You treat every interaction with the public and local stakeholders as a professional representation of Tsmg and its mission. You maintain rigorous attention to detail so that high quality images, videos, and scans meet the strict standards required for mapping applications. You manage your own schedule and logistics to ensure that work is completed within the contracted timeframe of three to six months. You actively communicate progress and environmental conditions back to the central team so that planning can adapt to weather and access constraints. You are committed to completing the mission using the provided computer storage systems and vehicle equipment without taking unnecessary risks.

What you'll do

Execute driving maneuvers along assigned public routes while maintaining strict adherence to traffic laws and safety guidelines.

Perform systematic scans of streets, points of interest, and public spaces using mounted camera rigs and lidar equipment mounted on the vehicle.

Capture high resolution photographs of building facades, storefronts, intersections, and landmarks that are relevant to the mapping project.

Record short video sequences that showcase the flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic in targeted zones for contextual analysis.

Use onboard computer storage devices to securely store raw image, video, and lidar data after each daily shift.

Conduct preliminary quality checks on captured media to ensure clarity, exposure, and frame accuracy before handing off the data.

Navigate efficiently between assigned locations using digital mapping tools and route instructions provided by the planning team.

Coordinate with local authorities and community members when required to explain the purpose of the data collection activities.

Adapt the collection schedule to take advantage of favorable weather conditions that improve visibility and image quality.

Revisit specific hotspots or problematic areas when directed to fill gaps or improve coverage based on supervisor feedback.

Maintain detailed logs of hours worked, routes completed, and any incidents that could affect the integrity of the collected data.

Operate the removable 360-degree camera systems with technical proficiency to avoid blind spots and ensure seamless stitching.

Monitor the vehicle equipment for any signs of wear or malfunction and report issues to the technical support team promptly.

Support the overall project objective of compiling a comprehensive visual record of EU public streets for integration into leading online mapping platforms.

Requirements

You must hold a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle assigned to the role in France.

You must have a clean driving record with no serious violations or suspensions in the past three years.

You must be at least 21 years old but not older than 60 years old at the start of the contract.

You must be physically capable of performing repeated driving maneuvers, entering and exiting the vehicle, and working in varying weather conditions.

You must have proof of eligibility to work legally in France without requiring a specific work permit from the authorities.

You must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in French during interactions with the team and the public.

You must have access to reliable transportation to reach the Rignac base of operations for training and induction.

You must be available to work full time during normal business hours from 8 in the morning until 19 in the evening without frequent unexcused absences.

You must pass a security driving test and background screening as part of the final hiring decision.

You must complete the standard onboarding and integration process before being assigned independent collection routes.

You must be willing to follow strict data collection protocols and use the provided equipment exactly as instructed.

You must demonstrate reliability and punctuality for every scheduled shift over the duration of the project.

You must maintain confidentiality regarding project details, client information, and any geographic specifics encountered in the field.

You must comply with all health and safety guidelines issued for mobile field teams operating in public areas.
