What you'll do

• Architect and implement complex user interface components using React Native, ensuring pixel-perfect alignment with design specifications and optimal runtime performance.
• Translate static design files into dynamic, reusable components that handle real-world data and edge cases gracefully.
• Conduct rigorous visual regression testing across multiple device sizes and operating systems to guarantee a consistent experience for all users.
• Partner proactively with senior designers to de-risk features during the prototyping phase, identifying potential implementation hurdles before they escalate.
• Optimize application bundle size and runtime efficiency by refining assets, lazy-loading resources, and minimizing unnecessary re-renders in the UI thread.
• Establish and maintain robust documentation for the internal component library, detailing usage patterns, props, and accessibility considerations for future engineers.
• Implement sophisticated animation sequences using native drivers to create fluid, responsive interactions that delight the user without draining device resources.
• Evaluate emerging frontend tools and workflows, proposing integrations that streamline the design-to-code process and reduce manual intervention.
• Serve as a quality gate for the UI layer, writing and maintaining unit and snapshot tests to protect against regressions in critical user flows.
• Advocate for accessibility standards, ensuring that color contrast, touch targets, and screen reader support meet or exceed industry best practices.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and data shapes that align perfectly with the requirements of the frontend layer.
• Drive the adoption of modern React Native features and best practices, mentoring junior engineers on code quality and component architecture.
• Analyze production usage metrics to identify UI bottlenecks and areas for improvement, then prioritize tasks to address these findings proactively.
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap for the design system, influencing long-term decisions about technology stack and component architecture.

Requirements

• Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 5 years of professional experience building user interfaces specifically with React Native.
• Showcase a portfolio of shipped mobile applications that exhibit a high level of polish and attention to detail in their visual execution.
• Exhibit an innate understanding of design principles, including grid systems, visual hierarchy, and the psychology of color and spacing.
• Possess advanced proficiency in Figma, including the ability to inspect designs, extract assets, and measure layouts with precision.
• Prove your ability to write clean, modular JavaScript and React code, adhering to strict style guides and linting standards.
• Highlight experience in creating and managing design systems, including the definition of tokens for color, spacing, and typography.
• Provide evidence of strong collaboration skills, with specific examples of resolving conflicts or bridging misunderstandings between design and engineering teams.
• Confirm eligibility to legally work in your country of residence without requiring sponsorship for the role.

Nice to have

• Direct experience implementing design systems using tools like Style Dictionary or similar tokenization workflows.
• A background in both design and engineering, allowing you to speak the language of both disciplines fluently.
• Hands-on experience with Reanimated v2 and Lottie for creating complex, performant animations.
• A history of contributing to open-source React Native libraries or publishing packages to npm.
• Prior professional experience in financial technology, blockchain infrastructure, or consumer applications with high security standards.
