Senior Manager, Incentives Strategy and Operations
Job description
About the role
This role defines how Tripadvisor measures and scales incentives, shaping strategic choices that directly influence growth and profitability. You will translate complex program economics into clear guidance and governance, ensuring incentives drive value without compromising margin or customer experience. Success requires close collaboration across functions to align incentives with broader portfolio priorities.
You will establish the framework that determines when, where, and how incentives are used. This involves setting intake standards so every idea is evaluated against strategic criteria before work begins. You will guide the construction of financial models and reporting structures that make program performance transparent and actionable for multiple teams. Regular review routines will be created to examine performance data, test results, and risks, always with clear decision outcomes. You will also shape shipping practices, coordinating campaigns, partners, and measurement so launches remain consistent and traceable.
Cross-functional partnership is central to the role. You will work with CRM, Product, and Regional teams to ensure incentives support portfolio objectives. Together, you will build the analytical framework that tracks redemption, incremental bookings, margin, and customer value across channels. You will partner closely with Finance to construct P&L reporting infrastructure, enabling spend tracking, forecasting, and reliable program-level economics. This includes supplying Finance with accurate inputs for budget planning and investment trade-off discussions. Your analysis will help leadership maintain a clear, trusted, and consistent view of incentive performance globally.
The role demands deep dives into test outcomes, cost drivers, and customer behavior. You will lead recurring and ad hoc analyses to identify what works, what does not, and where the business should invest next. Complex findings will be translated into clear strategic recommendations, business cases, and governance actions for stakeholders. As the owner of the measurement framework, you will establish reporting cadences, approval processes, and investment guardrails. These mechanisms ensure incentive spend remains transparent, disciplined, and aligned with business objectives.
To succeed, you must bring 3 to 5 years of experience in incentives, loyalty, or related performance roles. You need to handle complex data, financial metrics, and program logic while explaining trade-offs to non-technical audiences. Managing relationships across Finance, Product, Data, CRM, Regional, and Marketing is essential, as you will operate without direct authority. Comfort with a hybrid schedule is required, with 2 to 3 office days in London.
