Key facts
What you'll do
- Write clean and well-documented code for autonomous vehicle software applications and embedded systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement new software features and capabilities
- Debug and resolve software defects in existing codebases during development testing and integration phases
- Participate in code review sessions to ensure quality consistency and adherence to team standards
- Assist in the design and architecture of software modules that support vehicle perception and control
- Test software components through unit testing integration testing and automated test suite procedures
- Document technical designs and implementation details for current projects and future reference materials
- Support the deployment of software updates to production staging and development environments
- Learn and apply best practices for software development workflows version control and code quality
- Contribute to the improvement of development tools internal processes and engineering team productivity
- Work with hardware engineers to integrate software components with vehicle sensor and actuator systems
- Attend team meetings and sprint planning sessions to track progress and communicate project priorities
- Participate in ongoing research and development initiatives to advance autonomous driving technology
- Help create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications and user guides
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science software engineering or a closely related technical field
- Familiarity with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python or C++
- Understanding of fundamental software engineering principles data structures and basic algorithms
- Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly within a collaborative team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to analyzing technical challenges
- Willingness to learn new technologies frameworks and adapt to changing project requirements
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing reliable high-quality software
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting work and sharing ideas
- Comfortable working with Linux-based operating systems and command-line development environments
