About the role
You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the Mapping and Virtual Driver domains, translating ambiguous customer problems into clear product requirements and success metrics. You will define the capabilities and features that enable our automated trucks to perceive and understand the world, focusing on map data, coverage, freshness, and quality. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to align product plans with organizational objectives and customer needs. You will gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to continuously refine the product vision. You will serve as a subject matter expert and the primary advocate for the product within the company. You will prioritize the backlog to balance customer requirements with technological feasibility. You will drive the roadmap from concept to execution for your area of responsibility.

What you'll do
- Define and own the product vision, scope, and prioritization for Mapping and Virtual Driver domains, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives.
- Develop high-quality product definitions, requirements, and roadmaps to achieve product milestones and drive execution.
- Partner with engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and ensure successful implementation.
- Collaborate with potential customers to gather feedback and validate product direction and usability.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, strategy, and technical partners to integrate plans and communicate product value.
- Maintain and prioritize a backlog that balances customer requirements, technological feasibility, and business goals.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Mapping, localization data, and Virtual Driver domains for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product decisions and opportunities.
- Drive the collection and analysis of product metrics to measure success and inform future iterations.
- Communicate product plans, progress, and results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support the integration of plans with organizational leaders to ensure resource alignment and execution.
- Identify and manage dependencies across teams to keep product development on schedule.
- Explore opportunities to expand product capabilities into other Virtual Driver domains as team needs evolve.
- Ensure product documentation is clear, accurate, and up to date for stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of processes that improve product management efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, program management, or a related role in a technical environment.
- 3+ years of experience managing software products in an agile environment.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, define scope, and prioritize features in a complex environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with data analysis and product metrics.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for any visa category now or future.
- Must be able to submit to a drug test.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with autonomous vehicle technology, mapping, or localization.
- Experience with truck OEMs or commercial vehicle industry.
