Senior, ML Engineer
Job description
About the role
You will design, implement, test, and deploy offline modules for 3D reconstruction, lane line detection, and automatic mapping to generate high-quality annotations on cloud services from logged sensor data. You will build and refine lane line annotation pipelines by applying the latest machine learning models to automate and scale map creation for downstream perception and simulation teams. You will develop and improve pose estimation algorithms to support accurate localization, sensor fusion, and 3D scene reconstruction in support of automated truck workflows. You will demonstrate project management skills by serving as project lead, guiding less experienced team members across multiple facets of project execution while mentoring and coaching them. You will stay up to date with the latest developments in AI and ML for autonomous driving, 3D reconstruction, and automated mapping to ensure solutions remain cutting edge. You will independently develop offline perception and mapping models or algorithms using disciplined software development processes, making recommendations for developing new code or reusing existing code, implementing version control, and maintaining documentation of created applications. You will define and implement the ingestion, data preparation, curation, and governance of large, multi-faceted data sets that support analytics models and workflows. You will proactively assess current capabilities to identify areas for improvement, proposing solutions that align with core strategy and operational goals.
