About the role
You will own the end-to-end employee relations lifecycle for TodayTix Group and Secret Cinema, acting as the primary point of contact for people-related inquiries and issues across the business. You will ensure consistent application of employment policies and procedures, maintaining a fair and compliant employee experience from onboarding through to separation. You will partner closely with managers to advise on performance management, conduct investigations into employee concerns, and handle sensitive cases with discretion and empathy. You will manage the full employee lifecycle for our international hires, overseeing work eligibility verification and right to work checks in line with UK legislation. You will own the accuracy and integrity of our payroll data, validating hours worked and ensuring timely and correct payment for all employees and contractors. You will serve as the key liaison between our business teams and our payroll and HRIS systems, driving data integrity and process efficiency to support scalable operations. You will monitor and report on key employee relations metrics, providing insights that help leaders understand workforce trends and drive informed decisions. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of our employee handbook and people processes, ensuring they remain current and aligned with our growth and regulatory landscape.

What you'll do
Investigate and resolve complex employee relations cases, applying fair and consistent principles while documenting all steps of your investigative process.
Provide expert guidance to managers on performance improvement plans, disciplinary matters, and grievance handling, translating policy into practical, actionable steps.
Own the collection and validation of timesheet data, confirming accuracy for both internal staff and contractor hours across multiple teams and systems.
Serve as the primary reviewer for contractor compliance, verifying work eligibility and ensuring adherence to contractual terms and legal requirements.
Act as the central hub for payroll queries, reconciling timesheets against payments and escalating discrepancies to finance with clear, concise summaries.
Drive the integrity of our HRIS records by maintaining accurate employee data, updating organizational structures, and ensuring all changes are processed in a timely manner.
Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll costs, analyzing labor data and adjusting forecasts to reflect actual headcount and contractor utilization.
Own the administration of the onboarding journey, ensuring new hires complete all required documentation and systems access before their start date.
Support the implementation of process improvements, identifying manual steps and proposing solutions that reduce administrative burden and increase reliability.
Champion data-driven decision making by compiling regular reports on people metrics, turnover, and case trends to inform leadership discussions.
Act as the first responder for employee emergencies, coordinating necessary steps and communications to ensure continuity and compliance.
Manage the lifecycle of contractor agreements, from initial verification through to renewal or termination, maintaining meticulous records.
Translate complex people policies into clear narratives for employees and managers, fostering a culture of transparency and trust.
Proactively identify patterns in employee concerns, escalating systemic issues to senior leadership and recommending corrective actions where appropriate.
Requirements
You must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for UK employment.
You must hold the legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom without any restrictions, including no time limitations on your visa status.
You must have permission to take paid employment in the UK under current immigration rules.
You must not require sponsorship at the time of application or at any point during the duration of this role.
You must be based in the greater London area and able to work from 180 The Strand, London, WC2R 1JU.
You must be available to work a minimum of 2 days in the office, with at least 2 of your 3 contracted days between Monday and Friday.
You must be available to start the role on 17 August 2026 and commit to the end date of 4 December 2026.
You must be able to demonstrate a history of managing sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
You must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain policies clearly to diverse audiences.
Practical notes
This is a fixed-term contract role running from 17 August 2026 to 4 December 2026, with a commitment of 3 days per week.
A minimum of 2 days per week must be worked onsite at 180 The Strand, London, WC2R 1JU.
You must be available to start on 17 August 2026 and finish on 4 December 2026.
