The Feed team plays a pivotal role in this mission, tasked with developing and maintaining the essential infrastructure that delivers real-time market data, including prices, charts, and statistics, to millions of users. In this position, you will be responsible for constructing and sustaining high-performance, low-latency systems that guarantee the precision of vital financial transactions.

What you'll do

• Design and oversee feed services that handle substantial volumes of market data across Egypt, the UAE, the US, and the forthcoming KSA markets.
• Implement robust failover strategies to ensure system availability and data integrity during outages or infrastructure disruptions.
• Continuously maintain and enhance data models utilizing technologies like Redis, ClickHouse, and Postgres.
• Manage the foundational infrastructure, establishing redundancy to shield users from issues stemming from upstream providers.
• Actively tackle technical debt and work towards enhancing system reliability.
• Provide mentorship to team members through code reviews, collaborative design discussions, and pairing sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services with frontend applications.
• Monitor system performance metrics and implement necessary optimizations to maintain high throughput and low latency.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to support production systems and address any urgent issues that arise.
• Document system architecture and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
• Engage in continuous learning and stay updated with industry trends to bring innovative solutions to the team.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and managing high-traffic backend production systems.
• In-depth understanding of distributed systems and the ability to maintain performance under significant load.
• Capability to oversee the entire lifecycle of a system, including production support and on-call duties.
• Strong emphasis on latency, throughput, and operational accuracy in system performance.
• Proficiency in or a quick learning aptitude for the technology stack, which includes Python, C#, .NET Core, Golang, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, and ClickHouse.
• A commitment to maintaining high operational standards within a high-stakes, regulated environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in developing systems tailored for real-time performance requirements.
• Expertise in ClickHouse or comparable OLAP databases, particularly in schema design and query optimization.
• Familiarity with the fintech sector, brokerage, or trading platforms where timing and accuracy are paramount.
• Experience managing hybrid infrastructures, particularly with on-premise systems in Egypt and AWS in the UAE.

• Proficient in Python, C#, .NET Core, Golang, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, ClickHouse.
