Weekly trade analysis uncovers actions that move sales and margins. You will dissect sales data and competitor activity to generate clear, evidence-based recommendations. Insights from this analysis guide decisions that boost performance across the category. You will evaluate product performance to optimize the mix and align with demand. Trade plans are aligned with seasonal priorities and budgeted targets through cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with finance and marketing to ensure plans are realistic and profitable. Actionable recommendations from quarterly SWOT analysis support category growth. You will assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to shape long-term strategy. These ranges are designed to reflect what customers want and what the market is ready to buy. You will manage product selection and pricing to match customer expectations and market dynamics. Forecasts from this work help reduce stockouts and overstock across the category. You will use statistical methods to predict demand and improve inventory accuracy. Product assortment is aligned with brand messaging, campaigns, and promotional activity in partnership with Marketing. Collaboration with Marketing teams ensures the offering supports planned campaigns. Decisions about category and customer focus are grounded in a clear view of the brand and the customers it serves. You will analyze shopper behavior to define the ideal target audience and positioning. Direct reports are led and coached to strengthen accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will mentor team members to build capability and ensure consistent execution.
Requirements
Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or New Zealand citizenship is required for this role. You must hold the right to work in Australia without sponsorship for this position. This experience should include managing own brand categories in a retail or e-commerce environment. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in buying or planning for comparable categories. A history of working with data analytics tools is essential to succeed in this environment. You should have experience using systems that manage product information and sales metrics. Strong knowledge of fashion or lifestyle e-commerce platforms is a non-negotiable standard for this role. The ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actions is a hard requirement. You must be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to influence stakeholders. A meticulous approach to detail and accuracy is necessary to maintain data integrity. You need to be comfortable working within a structured framework and adhering to process. The capacity to build trusted relationships with cross-functional partners is mandatory.
