What you'll do

• Lead and manage the safety analysis team, ensuring that all safety assessments are conducted in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in nuclear safety analysis or a related field, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and standards.
• Proven experience in leading safety analysis projects and managing teams effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and safety analysis tools relevant to nuclear energy.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing nuclear safety, including NRC regulations and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety concerns.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, fostering teamwork and cooperation.

Nice to have

• Professional certification in nuclear safety or risk management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Nuclear Engineer).
• Experience with advanced reactor designs and technologies, such as small modular reactors (SMRs) or molten salt reactors.
• Knowledge of software tools used for safety analysis and modeling in the nuclear industry.
