About the role
You will own the full lifecycle of remote neurology care on the TeleMed2U platform, managing patient encounters from initiation through closure while maintaining clinical rigor and continuity. This position requires you to deliver high-quality neurology services autonomously, leveraging your training and experience to support patients with diverse neurological needs. You will work in close collaboration with neurologists and other care team members to ensure that every interaction aligns with coordinated, evidence-based treatment plans. A core part of this role involves using structured documentation and clear written communication so that decisions are transparent and can be easily reviewed or built upon by others. You will be accountable for maintaining consistent quality and safety standards across virtual encounters while adhering to all applicable regulations. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to manage workflows efficiently, respond promptly to evolving patient needs, and contribute to the overall reliability of the integrated chronic disease workflows. You will also play a key role in making the care process easy to understand and replicate, supporting both current patients and future team members.

What you'll do
Conduct follow-up visits on TeleMed2U's established telehealth platform to monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as clinically indicated.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies when appropriate to clarify diagnosis and outline treatment options for ongoing neurological conditions.
Complete electronic health record documentation accurately and efficiently to support coordinated care and streamlined clinical workflows.
Collaborate with neurologists and other care team members to maintain consistency and alignment in treatment planning across the continuum of care.
Ensure compliance with telehealth regulations, licensure requirements, and professional practice standards to uphold safe and effective virtual care delivery.
Support the continuity of care by coordinating with external providers and facilities as needed within defined workflows.
Utilize clinical judgment to identify changes in patient status and escalate concerns promptly within the integrated care framework.
Contribute to process improvements by sharing feedback on platform usability, documentation patterns, and care coordination challenges.
Maintain reliable availability during scheduled work sessions to meet patient demand and uphold continuity of care expectations.
Act as an owner of the neurology caseload, proactively managing priorities and communicating updates to the team when issues arise.
Provide input on best practices for remote neurology care based on observed patient interactions and outcomes.
Assist in the development of standardized workflows that enhance efficiency without compromising clinical quality or patient experience.
Monitor adherence to clinical protocols and quality metrics to ensure that care remains consistent with TeleMed2U standards.
Support knowledge transfer by documenting cases clearly so that other team members can build on your assessments and recommendations.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of neurology experience in outpatient or telehealth settings is necessary for successful performance in this role.
Strong communication and clinical documentation skills are essential for clear information exchange, accurate records, and effective coordination with the care team.
You must practice in a remote, autonomous care environment and be capable of performing evaluations independently without in-person supervision.
Reliable internet connection is required, along with demonstrated familiarity with telemedicine technology to sustain effective patient interactions.
Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of California in good standing is mandatory for eligibility.
Experience with virtual care platforms and electronic health records is expected to ensure efficient and accurate service delivery.
You should be comfortable working within structured clinical workflows while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs.
A commitment to maintaining compliance with telehealth regulations, licensure requirements, and professional practice standards is required.
Nice to have
Preferred candidates will have a background in ambulatory neurology or telehealth experience that includes remote patient monitoring.
Experience with asynchronous communication methods and written documentation that supports decision review is highly valued.
Familiarity with chronic disease management workflows, particularly in neurology, will be considered an advantage.
