About the role
This position owns the full virtual care journey for endocrine and metabolic patients within a multi-specialty telehealth environment. You will conduct remote evaluations, synthesize complex data, and drive diagnosis and chronic disease management through structured clinical protocols. Every interaction will focus on clear communication, precise documentation, and reliable follow through to maintain continuity of care. You will work as a key extension of the clinical team, ensuring that each patient encounter is efficient, compliant, and outcome oriented. Success in this role depends on your ability to collaborate effectively, execute plans accurately, and build trust through written and verbal exchanges. You will be responsible for turning patient needs into actionable plans that align with both clinical best practices and regulatory expectations. Your work will directly influence patient confidence, satisfaction, and long term health behaviors in a virtual setting.

What you'll do
You will perform virtual outpatient assessments for adult patients living with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and dyslipidemia. Each visit will be conducted through secure video technology where you will gather data, clarify symptoms, and guide clinical decisions. You will develop treatment plans, execute interventions, and modify care pathways in coordination with supervising physicians to satisfy California regulatory requirements. You will order laboratory and diagnostic studies, interpret results, and use findings to adjust therapy safely and effectively. You will document every clinical encounter accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record to support continuity, clarity, and future decision making. You will educate patients on disease processes, self management strategies, and lifestyle adjustments that empower them to manage their conditions effectively in daily life. You will coordinate care across interdisciplinary resources, identify gaps, and make appropriate referrals when clinically necessary to support comprehensive patient outcomes.
Requirements
You must hold a current California license for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in good standing with the state board. You must bring a minimum of 2 years of outpatient or telehealth experience in Endocrinology to demonstrate clinical competence in this specialty. You must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to maintain clear clinical documentation and conduct effective patient interactions. You must show comfort with autonomous practice in a remote setting where judgment and initiative are essential. You must have stable internet access and proven familiarity with telemedicine technology to engage fully with the platform. You must understand and adhere to telehealth standards, regulatory expectations, and documentation policies that govern virtual care delivery. You must be prepared to uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and safety in all patient interactions. You must be reliable, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining high quality care.
Nice to have
Previous experience working within multi-specialty telehealth environments is preferred. Familiarity with virtual platforms and digital health tools that support remote endocrine care is advantageous. An understanding of CA specific regulations related to telehealth and prescribing in a virtual context is a preferred qualification. Experience supporting patients with complex chronic conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and thyroid disease is valued. A demonstrated commitment to patient education and shared decision making aligns with the team's preferred practices.
