Project Manager I
Job description
About the Position
The Project Manager I role exists to support TEECOM's internal project management structure. You will report directly to Team Leads and function as a core component of the team's delivery machinery. Your primary responsibility is to manage tracking, documentation, coordination, and reporting. This operational focus allows Team Leads to dedicate their attention to client relationships and strategic leadership.
This position frequently serves as a transition from the Designer path. Designers develop engineering, production, and project management capabilities before entering a TEECOM Grow career development discussion. This discussion determines long-term path alignment, with Project Manager I being a standard next-step option.
You deliver operational support that enhances visibility across scope, schedule, staffing, documentation, quality, and execution tracking. Your role is not to independently manage complex engagements or client relationships. Instead, you reinforce the delivery systems that permit consistent execution and clear reporting.
Collaboration is central to this position. You will partner closely with Team Leads, Group Leads, Project Supervisors, and Subtask PMs. This partnership maintains clarity, reinforces established workflows, and improves coordination and quality across the team's portfolio. Success is measured by the stability and transparency you introduce to team operations. It is also measured by the confidence Team Leads place in the accuracy, organization, and reliability of project data and reporting.
Project Managers at this level operate internally. They support team-level operations, delivery execution, and reporting in close partnership with Team Leads. This constitutes an operational PM role. Advancement within this path continues toward Project Manager II and Project Manager III.
Responsibilities
You will establish intake routines designed to clarify scope, staffing, and documentation needs. This ensures project foundations remain visible and reliable for all stakeholders.
You will build coordination workflows connecting designers, supervisors, and subtask managers. These workflows ensure schedules, quality checks, and operational tracking remain synchronized.
You will review project artifacts and reporting structures. This review serves to surface gaps, reinforce standards, and support consistent delivery across the team portfolio.
You will ship transparent status updates and reliability metrics. These communications provide leads with confidence in data accuracy, organization, and clarity for stakeholders.
You will partner with group leads and project supervisors to align workflows. You will identify and remove coordination blockers while strengthening cross-role communication.
You will monitor the operational health of engagements. This involves updating records and schedules to ensure long-term planning reflects current reality.
You will maintain documentation discipline. Capturing decisions, changes, and outcomes creates a clear historical context that benefits future project work.
You will track schedule variance and quality signals. Escalating these patterns early enables leads to manage client expectations and internal priorities effectively.
Requirements
You must bring three to five years of experience in roles involving coordination, tracking, and structured documentation.
You must work comfortably inside TEECOM products. Adaptability to tools and workflows that organize project information is essential.
You must handle scope, staffing, and documentation details. This capability supports schedule tracking and execution visibility.
You must report project status with organization and reliability. This strengthens leader confidence in data accuracy and completeness.
Nice to Have
Preferred candidates demonstrate familiarity with design to project management pathways. An understanding of internal career development discussions is also valued.
