Key Responsibilities
You will own the civil design aspects for data center projects from initial concept through final documentation. Early-phase tasks involve drafting intake notes that define site constraints and client objectives for civil work. You will then structure comprehensive build plans, organizing grading strategies, stormwater drainage systems, and utility routing for complex campus environments.
The position requires close coordination with engineering partners to establish review cycles. This collaboration ensures standards alignment and minimizes errors throughout the project lifecycle. You will prepare construction documents that are exceptionally clear, enabling crews to execute work without constant supervision. Managing revisions becomes necessary to address field conditions while rigorously safeguarding project schedules.
Communicating tradeoffs effectively is a core duty. You will convey decisions to program leadership, ensuring that scope and schedule implications remain transparent. Supporting quality checks is also vital, confirming that site layouts match design specifications before major concrete pours occur. You will guide partners through regulatory and internal approvals to keep infrastructure milestones on track.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must bring a minimum of three years of specific experience in civil infrastructure for data center projects. Technical proficiency is essential, particularly with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. You must produce highly accurate drawings even when facing tight deadlines.
