You will work closely with various teams to coordinate shipping schedules, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations. What you'll do
- Accurately prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring that all items are securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
- Collaborate with the inventory management team to track stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary, maintaining optimal inventory for shipping operations.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely dispatch of shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation, including packing slips, shipping labels, and invoices, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Conduct regular quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure that all products meet our quality standards before leaving the facility.
- Assist in the implementation of shipping best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding shipping schedules, delays, and any issues that may arise during the shipping process.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping or logistics role, preferably in a pharmaceutical or compounding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipping documentation and inventory management.
- Proficient in using shipping software and tools, as well as basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds and to perform repetitive tasks as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience with hazardous materials shipping and knowledge of related regulations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, particularly in a shipping or logistics context.
- Certification in forklift operation or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in using shipping software such as ShipStation, UPS WorldShip, or FedEx Ship Manager.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems like Fishbowl or NetSuite.
- Strong understanding of shipping regulations and compliance requirements, especially in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking shipments and inventory.
