We combine a pragmatic, people-first culture with strong technical craftsmanship - giving engineers autonomy in real production environments, backed by a consultancy that invests in growth, community, and long-term partnerships.</p> <p class="p1">For one of our large, enterprise-scale clients in a highly regulated domain, we're looking for a Senior Kubernetes / Azure DevOps Engineer to strengthen a cloud foundations and platform engineering initiative.</p> <p class="p1">This is a hands-on platform role at the core of the organization's Azure landing zones, Kubernetes environments, and cloud infrastructure - focused on reliability, security, automation, and operational excellence.</p> <h3 class="p1"><strong>What you'll do</strong></h3> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">Operate, maintain, and upgrade production Kubernetes clusters (AKS / EKS or similar)</li> <li class="li1">Troubleshoot complex platform issues across networking, workloads, scaling, and cluster ops</li> <li class="li1">Manage and remediate CVEs in container images and dependencies</li> <li class="li1">Rebuild and redeploy images as part of platform maintenance and security improvements</li> <li class="li1">Improve and maintain CI/CD workflows supporting Kubernetes workloads (GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins, etc.)</li> <li class="li1">Automate compliance, security, and governance checks across clusters and pipelines</li> <li class="li1">Support development teams by aligning platform updates with application requirements</li> <li class="li1">Contribute to infrastructure-as-code standards (Helm, Kustomize, Terraform)</li> <li class="li1">Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures</li> <li class="li1">Collaborate closely with platform, cloud, and security teams</li> </ul> <h3 class="p1">What we're looking for</h3> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">Senior-level experience in platform engineering / DevOps</li> <li class="li1">Strong background in Azure and enterprise-scale Azure landing zones / cloud foundations</li> <li class="li1">3+ years operating Kubernetes in production (AKS, EKS, or comparable)</li> <li class="li1">Strong troubleshooting skills (Kubernetes internals + infra + networking basics)</li> <li class="li1">Experience in large enterprises and/or regulated environments</li> <li class="li1">Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-first mindset</li> <li>Fluent in English + <strong>EU residency</strong> (no sponsorship)</li> </ul> <p class="p1"><strong>Tooling (must understand and use in practice): </strong>Kubernetes, Azure, Docker/BuildKit, CI/CD (GitLab CI / ArgoCD / Jenkins), Helm/Kustomize/Terraform, Prometheus/Grafana, scripting (Bash/Python/Go)</p> <p class="p1"><strong>Nice to have:</strong> CKA/CKAD, Kubernetes security (Network Policies / Pod Security), service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), Databricks infra exposure, multi-cloud experience.</p> The listing location is Amsterdam.
