Product Manager, New Product Bet
Job description
About the Role
This role is for a Product Manager who will define and own a critical domain within Synthesia's next-generation learning product, shaping its strategy, metrics, and execution from concept to shipped experience. You will be responsible for proving that real-time, agentic AI can move beyond content consumption to measurable skill development and readiness. Your work will directly influence how enterprises prepare their people and how the company captures value from this new category of practice. You will operate with significant autonomy, making strategic trade-offs and holding the vision for a product that does not yet exist in its final form. Success will be defined by your ability to connect product decisions to clear commercial outcomes such as retention, expansion, and revenue impact. You will translate ambiguous problems into clear product narratives that align engineering, design, and commercial teams without constant supervision. This is a rare opportunity to build a 0-to-1 product where your judgment and decisions have immediate and substantial impact on the future of the company.
The role is based in London and is full-time. The position involves significant travel between offices and to customer locations across Europe and the US. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship at this time. The role operates within a fast-moving, high-stakes bet inside a company that raised $200 million in a Series E round, achieving a $4 billion valuation. Total funding exceeds $530 million, with backing from investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, alongside founders and operators from Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow.
What You'll Do
Own the multi-quarter strategy for a domain within this new product bet, defining the problems, solutions, and roadmap that will set the direction for the business. Define and evolve the success metrics for the domain, ensuring product outcomes are directly tied to commercial results including retention, expansion, and revenue impact. Engage deeply with the customers who matter most, researching how they think, identifying where current tools leave them exposed, and translating those insights into a clear product direction.
Drive a shared understanding of where this new product area is going and why, ensuring engineering, design, R&D, and commercial counterparts can articulate the strategy and reasoning behind every decision. Produce written narratives such as strategy docs and PRDs that move decisions forward and give the team the context to build the right thing without needing a follow-up conversation. Balance short-term delivery with long-term product health, scoping work to reflect execution risk, hitting milestones predictably, and iterating based on evidence rather than opinion.
Mentor IC5 PMs, contributing to improvements in product practice across the team and actively participating in PM hiring to elevate the standard of product thinking. Champion the quality of the end-user experience in a real-time, agentic environment, holding a high bar for what feels right for the user and the customer investing in the outcome. Identify and prioritize opportunities where AI capabilities can create meaningful differentiation in learning practice, ensuring the product remains at the forefront of the category.
Translate complex technical and business constraints into clear product requirements that guide designers and engineers toward cohesive solutions. Establish feedback loops and experiments that validate hypotheses quickly, using data and qualitative insights to refine the product continuously. Collaborate closely with design and engineering to break down strategic intent into executable iterations that maintain momentum and clarity. Represent the domain internally and externally, ensuring that stakeholder expectations are managed and that the product vision is consistently communicated. Think in systems, understanding how different features, workflows, and data outputs interact to create a coherent experience for the user and the organization.
Requirements
You have significant experience in product management, having owned a critical product domain where you set strategy rather than only executing on someone else's plan. You have a track record of connecting product outcomes to commercial results, demonstrating impact on ARR, retention, expansion, or equivalent metrics in previous roles.
You are comfortable operating with autonomy on the what, not just the how, and you can define the problem space when it is initially unclear. You understand that 0-to-1 products in complex, experience-driven domains require holding two things simultaneously: disciplined short-term execution and long-term bets backed by judgment. You do not wait for a clean brief; you identify the right problems, form a view, and bring others along with conviction and clarity.
You are a strong written communicator, capable of producing clear, concise strategy documents and PRDs that align senior stakeholders without additional explanation. You care deeply about the quality of the experience, maintaining a high bar for usability and effectiveness in real-time, agentic interactions. You have experience building agentic or AI-powered products, understanding what makes real-time AI interactions feel natural and what causes them to break. You are fluent in the nuances of building products where evidence is forming, and you are comfortable making decisions even when data is incomplete.
