What you'll do

• Lead the planning and execution of engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with design teams to develop project specifications and technical drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project execution and delivery.
• Monitor project progress, prepare regular status reports, and communicate updates to management and stakeholders.

• Ensure that all engineering practices are aligned with company policies and industry best practices, maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
• Participate in project meetings, providing technical insights and recommendations to enhance project outcomes.
• Support the development of project proposals and bids, contributing technical expertise to secure new business opportunities.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve project delivery and engineering processes.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation for project closeout, ensuring that all deliverables are completed and archived appropriately.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering or a related role, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with experience in using software such as Microsoft Project or similar.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and standards relevant to the industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards applicable to engineering projects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in project documentation and reporting.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering design software.
• Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices and green building standards.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
• Previous experience in a client-facing role, with a focus on relationship management and business development.
