What you'll do

• Address a variety of support inquiries swiftly, ranging from initial sales queries to complex technical implementations and performance optimizations.
• Evaluate and classify support requests, directing users to pertinent documentation, existing solutions, or escalating issues to specialized internal teams when necessary.
• Proactively monitor feedback channels, such as GitHub Issues and Discussions, to identify and resolve user concerns efficiently.
• Suggest and aid in the creation of internal tools aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the support process.
• Investigate reported issues thoroughly, develop test cases, and contribute to enhancing test coverage as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a user experience and provide insights based on user feedback.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to assist users in troubleshooting common issues.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on product features and enhancements, ensuring you provide the most current information to users.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in delivering technical support to developers, demonstrating a strong understanding of user needs.
• Proficient in SQL, particularly PostgreSQL, with the ability to write and interpret complex queries effectively.
• Exceptional command of the English language, enabling clear and concise communication with users.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools is essential.
• Experience in utilizing GitHub Issues and Discussions to manage and resolve support inquiries.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for helping others succeed with technology.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of popular JavaScript frameworks, including React, Vue, and Svelte, to better assist developers.
• Experience in Node.js development, which can enhance your ability to support users effectively.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, providing a solid foundation for technical understanding.
• Background in database administration, which can be beneficial for troubleshooting complex issues.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in SQL, especially PostgreSQL
• Experienced with Linux/Unix command line

• Knowledgeable in JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte)

Practical notes

This full-time role requires you to work four 10-hour shifts each week, which will include weekends during EMEA business hours (08:00-18:00 UTC). Candidates are preferred to be located within the European, African, or Middle Eastern time zones to align with the required schedule. The shifts will cover Friday through Monday based on the UTC timetable, which may vary slightly according to your local timezone.
