About the role
This role defines and delivers a coherent K-12 Science program across the network. It partners with school leaders to ensure rigorous instruction reaches every scholar. The role drives instructional change and supports scaling of high-quality science education. You will own the development, refinement, and implementation of the science curriculum from grades K through
12. A key part of this position is ensuring that the curriculum is faithfully enacted in classrooms through high-quality training and support. You will analyze student data to iteratively improve the instructional materials and professional learning experiences offered. This position requires deep collaboration with school leaders and content specialists to maintain curricular coherence. Ultimately, you will ensure that all Success Academy scholars receive a rigorous and engaging science education that prepares them for advanced study.

What you'll do
Analyze student assessment data and classroom observations to refine the K-12 science curriculum and improve student learning outcomes.
Lead the development and organization of instructional materials that ensure disciplinary rigor and alignment to a multi-year network vision.
Design and deliver high-quality training sessions that equip teachers with the knowledge and tools to enact the curriculum effectively.
Collaborate with school leaders to provide coaching and support that strengthens science instruction across all grades.
Establish a coherent scope and sequence for scientific concepts to ensure continuity in student learning pathways from kindergarten through high school.
Drive iterative improvements to the curriculum by incorporating feedback from teachers and scholars into the instructional design process.
Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate tools and platforms that support data analysis, instructional design, and professional learning.
Champion a whole-child approach to science education that prepares scholars for rigorous college preparatory coursework.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a scientific field with deep knowledge of Science as a discipline is required. This foundation supports the design and explanation of complex scientific concepts.
Experience in a school leadership or teacher leader role, such as Assistant Principal or Grade Team Lead, is required. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop others enables effective collaboration with faculty and school leaders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, with an ability to invest, motivate, and hold others accountable to high standards. Clear communication ensures alignment across schools and stakeholders.
A growth mindset with a strong belief in the value of feedback is required. Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, adapt, and improve practice is essential. Ongoing reflection drives continuous enhancement of instruction.
