What you'll do
- Collaborate with biologists, engineers, and product managers to identify key data-driven questions and objectives that align with our strategic goals.
- Analyze large and complex datasets using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract meaningful insights that inform product development.
- Develop and implement predictive models that can forecast outcomes and trends based on historical data, enhancing our ability to make informed decisions.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
- Conduct experiments and A/B testing to evaluate the impact of different strategies and interventions, providing data-backed recommendations for optimization.
- Participate in the design and execution of data collection processes, ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the lifecycle.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, applying new techniques and methodologies to improve our analytical capabilities.
- Document and present your work, including methodologies, results, and recommendations, to internal teams and external partners, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior data scientists and interns, providing guidance on best practices in data analysis and model development.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the infrastructure supports data storage, processing, and analysis requirements efficiently.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data processes and workflows, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual property by identifying novel data-driven solutions and insights that can be patented or published.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, or a related discipline within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with a strong understanding of libraries and frameworks for data analysis and machine learning.
- Experience with SQL and database management, enabling efficient data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.

- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for data storage and processing.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar to create compelling visual narratives.
