Stratolaunch is seeking a Senior Account Manager to spearhead business development initiatives within the INDOPACOM area. What you'll do
- Lead the comprehensive business development efforts for projects related to INDOPACOM.
- Design and execute strategies aimed at capturing opportunities and securing contracts.
- Assess customer needs and operational deficiencies to formulate compelling program proposals.
- Develop and sustain customer engagement strategies to deepen understanding of their priorities and funding sources.
- Identify how Stratolaunch's capabilities can enhance military exercises within the region.
- Build and nurture relationships with key players in INDOPACOM and related military branches.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance solutions and strategies for proposals.
- Provide strategic insights and contribute written content for proposal development.
- Keep senior leadership informed about pipeline status and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct thorough capture reviews and maintain disciplined management of opportunities.
- Analyze customer exercise requirements to suggest customized solutions.
- Serve as a trusted business development representative for Stratolaunch in the region.
Requirements
- Recent experience working with INDOPACOM J7 and/or J8 is essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of the INDOPACOM mission and the military exercise environment.
- Strong knowledge of technology and operational needs across U.S. military branches and allied forces.
- Demonstrated ability to align customer needs with funding strategies to secure opportunities.
- Familiarity with acquisition processes and strategic planning methodologies.
- Proven capability to build relationships while independently engaging in capture and proposal activities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for developing proposals and briefing materials.
- A background in business development or capture management is highly desirable.
- Understanding of warfighter requirements and command priorities to effectively align solutions.
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, National Security Studies, Public Policy, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- A minimum of 15 years of pertinent experience supporting INDOPACOM or comparable defense organizations.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in business development, capture management, strategic planning, military exercises, or operational planning.
- Candidates may include senior civilian professionals or military officers at the O-6 level or equivalent experience, particularly those comfortable in hands-on roles.
Practical notes
- This role is located in the Honolulu, Hawaii area.
- The position requires frequent travel to Washington, D.C., Mojave Air & Spaceport, and other locations within the U.S.
- This role will act as the on-site business development representative for Stratolaunch in Hawaii, playing a crucial role in the company's expansion in the region.
- The position may involve the operation of company vehicles as part of job duties.
Base salary and leveling are determined on an individual basis, taking into account factors such as location, educational background, and a thorough assessment of skills and experience demonstrated during the interview process.
