About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Payments Migration Specialist to lead our customers' transition from legacy independent sales organizations (ISOs) and third-party gateways to our integrated payments solution. This is a critical role within our vertical SaaS platform, requiring a blend of deep technical payment expertise, commercial acumen, and high-touch customer consultation. The position demands an individual who thrives on navigating complex technical environments while maintaining a sharp focus on commercial outcomes and client retention. You will own the entire migration lifecycle, ensuring that transitions are executed with precision and that business continuity is never compromised for the end-user. This role is fundamental to our go-to-market strategy in the specialty real estate sector, directly impacting revenue retention and customer trust. You will be responsible for translating intricate payment flows into actionable plans that align with both client needs and internal product objectives. Success in this position is measured by your ability to manage multiple migrations concurrently while safeguarding company margins and enhancing the Storable brand.
Key facts
What you'll do
Execute end-to-end payment migrations for clients moving away from legacy ISOs and third-party gateways to the Storable integrated platform.
Partner directly with clients to dissect their current payment workflows and architect bespoke migration plans that eliminate downtime and operational friction.
Conduct detailed merchant statement analysis to construct financial proposals that preserve effective costs for the client while rigorously protecting Storable's company margin.
Act as the central communication hub, aligning internal stakeholders across product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
Serve as the primary business contact throughout the migration journey, driving high levels of customer satisfaction and uncovering adjacent revenue opportunities.
Leverage deep knowledge of merchant account services and payment rails to troubleshoot complex issues that arise during cutover periods.
Utilize data migration tools and CRM platforms to ensure transaction histories and client data are transferred accurately and securely.
Champion compliance with PCI-DSS standards and industry security regulations to mitigate risk during the transfer of sensitive payment data.
Translate highly technical payment processing concepts into clear, value-driven narratives for non-technical stakeholders during executive reviews.
Maintain a contractor mentality, working autonomously to manage multiple project timelines and deliver measurable results in a fully remote Australian environment.
Apply expertise in vertical SaaS solutions to understand the specific pain points of self-storage, marine, and RV & camping industries.
Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback on migration processes that can be standardized and improved for future scalability.
Monitor post-migration performance metrics to validate that the new payment solution meets or exceeds the legacy system's efficiency and cost structure.
Build long-term consultative relationships that position you as a trusted advisor, enabling the identification of cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the Storable ecosystem.
Document all migration procedures and insights to contribute to the collective knowledge base and enhance the efficiency of future projects.

Prove exceptional interpersonal abilities to communicate complex technical payment details into simple, value-oriented language for clients.
Exhibit a contractor mentality with the discipline to work independently, manage concurrent project timelines, and achieve objectives without direct supervision in a remote setting.
Hold the right to work in Australia and be based in the Gold Coast, Queensland, due to the role's requirement for occasional travel and regional client presence.
Commit to adhering to Storable's "Win More" culture, which emphasizes delivering exceptional value to customers and fostering personal and professional growth.
Understand the importance of maintaining company margin during negotiations and proposal generation to ensure sustainable business practices.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience in payments, finance, or a related technical field that provides a solid foundation for the role.
Experience with vertical SaaS solutions in industries such as healthcare, real estate, or legal services to broaden the applicability of the migration methodology.
Practical notes
Location: Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
The role is classified as a remote position based in the Gold Coast region, requiring the successful candidate to be available for occasional travel to client sites across Australia. This ensures that you can engage directly with stakeholders and provide high-touch consultation where it is needed most. Due to the specialized nature of payments migration, the candidate must be fully versed in Australian payment regulations and regional banking practices. This position is not suitable for individuals who require constant office presence or rigid working hours, as the environment is inherently remote and project-driven. Applicants must be able to start promptly and manage their schedule effectively to meet aggressive migration timelines without sacrificing the quality of client interactions. The compensation structure is designed to reward successful project completion and migration outcomes, aligning the specialist's incentives with the company's financial health and customer satisfaction goals.
