About the role
The is a position focused on driving growth within the self-storage, marine, and RV & camping sectors through proactive outreach and problem-solving. In this role, you will engage directly with storage facility operators to understand their specific operational hurdles and position solutions that enhance their day-to-day efficiency. You serve as the critical first interaction, gathering detailed insights that allow senior sales executives to present compelling and relevant value propositions. Success in this capacity requires a high degree of adaptability, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the discipline to manage a large volume of tasks in a remote setting. The position demands consistent follow-through and a data-driven approach to ensure that every interaction moves the funnel forward.
This role is fully remote; however, it is restricted to candidates residing in states where Storable holds current registration for employment. Compliance with work authorization is mandatory, as the role requires the right to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
What you'll do
You will conduct outbound calling campaigns to storage facility operators, using each conversation to uncover operational inefficiencies and potential improvements. Your daily routine will involve making a high volume of calls, actively managing a multi-stage pipeline, and meticulously documenting all interactions to maintain momentum. You will interpret the stated needs of operators and convert them into clear requirements for internal sales teams, enabling them to tailor product demonstrations effectively.
You will experiment with various outreach strategies, testing new methods to generate qualified leads and enhance overall response rates from target accounts. A significant portion of your responsibility will involve identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing customer base, presenting additional tools that address evolving operational needs. You will actively manage campaigns provided by the marketing department, ensuring that messaging is precisely targeted and aligned with the intended business objectives.
Accuracy and discipline in Salesforce are non-negotiable, as you will be responsible for updating customer records, logging every call, and moving high-priority opportunities through the sales pipeline. You will handle follow-up communications, manage incoming responses, and coordinate handoffs to ensure that leads are nurtured smoothly and efficiently. By synthesizing feedback collected from the field, you will contribute to refining the company's value propositions and improving how solutions are articulated to different customer segments. You will collaborate closely with marketing to provide insights from the ground level, helping to adjust campaigns based on real-world operator feedback. Furthermore, you will monitor your personal performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to increase your productivity over time. You will maintain a thorough understanding of the product suite so that you can articulate benefits clearly and answer preliminary questions with confidence. Finally, you will adhere to all company compliance and data handling policies to ensure the integrity of customer information.

What You Will Need

You must possess a minimum of one year of experience in SaaS sales or support, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a fast-paced startup environment. You must be proficient with technology such as Salesforce, Google Apps, Zendesk, and Microsoft Office to perform your duties effectively. You must be self-motivated, capable of managing your schedule across different time zones, and committed to a continuous improvement mindset focused on personal development. You must communicate effectively through phone, email, and text, and you must be able to adjust your communication style to suit different operator personalities. You must balance numerous concurrent priorities while creating simple, scalable processes that can be utilized by your entire team.
Nice to have
Previous experience working directly within the self-storage industry is a distinct advantage for this role. Familiarity with Salesforce for tracking pipeline and detailed activity is also preferred, although comprehensive training will be provided for qualified candidates.
Skills & Tools
You will utilize Salesforce, Zendesk, Google Apps, and Microsoft Office to manage your daily workflow, reporting, and performance analysis.
