What you'll do
You will execute well-scoped software tasks assigned by senior team members to ensure timely and quality delivery of technical components. You will collaborate with product owners and technical leads to clarify requirements and translate business needs into actionable technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with established engineering practices and guidelines. You will actively participate in code reviews to exchange knowledge and incorporate feedback from more experienced engineers.
In day-to-day operations, you will investigate and resolve technical issues across development, staging, and production environments with minimal supervision. You will support the maintenance and continuous evolution of existing software systems to guarantee service reliability and performance. Another key activity involves documenting technical decisions and implementation details to improve knowledge sharing and streamline onboarding processes. You will assist in implementing new features and improvements based on user feedback and product priorities.
Monitoring application behavior through logs and metrics will be part of your routine to identify potential problems early. You will contribute to the enhancement of internal tools and processes with the goal of increasing team efficiency and software quality. Within a remote setup, you will follow communication protocols to maintain alignment with your team, attend regular meetings to synchronize activities, and discuss progress, risks, and dependencies. You will also experiment with new technologies and approaches when appropriate to enhance delivered solutions. Ensuring that all deliverables comply with security, quality, and performance standards defined by the team will be a constant responsibility.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must have prior experience in software development through internships, personal projects, academic work, or professional employment. A solid understanding of basic or theoretical concepts of relational databases, such as queries and relationships, is required. You must demonstrate knowledge of systems integration and APIs, including REST and JSON. A strong willingness to learn and excellent communication skills are essential to clarify doubts and collaborate effectively with the team. The ability to work on tasks with a well-defined scope under the direction of the team is fundamental. You should show commitment to delivering high-quality code and meeting agreed deadlines. Proactivity in seeking feedback and applying it to improve both technical and collaborative skills is expected.
Nice to have
Having basic knowledge of Golang is considered a plus. Familiarity with containers, such as Docker, adds value to your profile. Understanding microservices or software architecture concepts is recommended. Prior contact or basic knowledge of messaging systems, such as Kafka or SQS, is also advantageous. Engaging in technical reading in English for documentation and research purposes aligns with the expectations of the role.
