About the role
You will own the end-to-end discovery and validation cycle for key product initiatives, translating ambiguous customer problems into clear design directions and experiments. You will partner closely with data, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are grounded in user needs and strategic product goals. You will act as the voice of the customer across the product lifecycle, from initial research to execution and iteration. You will foster a culture of experimentation within your team by structuring rapid tests and learning loops. You will guide cross-functional collaboration to keep product experiences aligned and cohesive. You will analyze qualitative and quantitative signals to refine product hypotheses and prioritize opportunities. You will mentor junior designers and researchers to elevate the overall capability of the product design organization.

What you'll do
Conduct deep user research through interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiry to uncover pain points, motivations, and unmet needs.
Map customer journeys and experiences to visualize touchpoints, emotions, and friction across the product ecosystem.
Synthesize research findings into clear personas, JTBDs, and storyboards that inform product strategy and decision-making.
Define product discovery experiments, including hypotheses, success metrics, and minimum viable prototypes for rapid validation.
Collaborate with data analysts to design measurement frameworks that turn qualitative insights into quantifiable product signals.
Partner with product managers to translate business objectives into user-centered design solutions and feature specifications.
Work with engineers to translate concepts into interactive prototypes, ensuring feasibility and alignment with technical constraints.
Establish design systems principles and patterns that promote consistency, scalability, and accessibility across digital products.
Facilitate cross-functional design critiques and workshops to align stakeholders and refine solution approaches.
Monitor product performance through qualitative and quantitative metrics, identifying opportunities for iterative improvements.
Lead scoping and prioritization discussions, balancing user value, business impact, and execution complexity.
Mentor junior designers and researchers by providing feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities within the team.
Champion inclusive design practices, ensuring that solutions consider diverse user contexts and accessibility needs.
Translate strategic product themes into actionable design initiatives that can be tested and scaled effectively.
Act as a thought partner to stakeholders, offering insights that bridge customer needs with business and technical realities.
Requirements
Possess strong background in discovery and research, including qualitative and quantitative methods, user interviews, and journey mapping.
Demonstrate hands-on experience building and testing hypotheses through experiments such as PoCs, prototypes, and MVP releases.
Show strategic thinking capacity to connect user needs, business goals, and product vision into coherent product strategies.
Have a collaborative mindset, working effectively with cross-functional teams including product, data, engineering, and design.
Bring prior experience in people management, leading and developing team members in a day-to-day environment.
Have a proven track record of turning research insights into actionable product decisions and measurable outcomes.
Be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities may shift based on market and customer demands.
Communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Nice to have
Previous experience exploring and developing AI tools to improve team productivity and product quality.
Prior domain experience in Fintechs or financial institutions/banks, with understanding of financial products and user behaviors.

This is a full-time position.
The compensation includes a fixed salary and a variable remuneration package (PLR, ILP, or commission), with specific eligibility rules explained by recruiters during the selection process.
