About the role
You will act as the primary technical liaison between project teams and the firm's Applied Technology and IT functions regarding design technology and workflow execution. You will evaluate current design processes to identify opportunities for standardization and efficiency gains across the Energy, Federal, Transportation, and Water markets. You will champion the consistent application of CAD and BIM standards to ensure design integrity and data management compliance. You will investigate and troubleshoot software and hardware issues to minimize project downtime and maintain productivity. You will facilitate knowledge transfer by creating clear documentation and conducting training sessions on design technology tools. You will collaborate with technology innovators to pilot new design solutions and provide feedback on usability and functionality. You will monitor industry trends in engineering software to recommend improvements that enhance project delivery and design quality. You will ensure all support activities align with Stanley's People First culture and ethical standards.
Key facts
What you'll do
Perform advanced diagnostics of Autodesk and Bentley platform installations to resolve complex configuration issues impacting project timelines.
Conduct in-depth analysis of design workflows to propose and implement standardized procedures that reduce redundant effort and errors.
Coordinate with the Information Technology group to manage software deployments, license optimization, and infrastructure compatibility testing.
Develop comprehensive training materials and user guides for new design technology tools and updates for diverse project teams.
Lead focused workshops with technology innovators to gather requirements and test emerging design technology solutions in a controlled environment.
Monitor system performance metrics for design applications to proactively identify bottlenecks and recommend infrastructure adjustments.
Serve as the escalation point for critical design technology issues, coordinating with vendor support when necessary to resolve problems swiftly.
Implement and maintain version control protocols for CAD and BIM files to ensure data integrity and traceability across project deliverables.
Conduct regular audits of design technology usage across projects to ensure adherence to Stanley Consultants' established standards.
Facilitate cross-market communication regarding design technology best practices to promote consistency and shared learning opportunities.
Configure and customize design software interfaces to optimize user experience and alignment with specific project requirements.
Document all support activities, resolutions, and process improvements to build a centralized knowledge base for future reference.
Assist in the development of technology roadmaps that align with Stanley's strategic goals for digital transformation and innovation.
Provide real-time support during critical project phases to ensure design tools operate without disruption to demanding schedules.
Requirements
