About the role
The owns the end-to-end strategy and execution of the company's brand narrative across all public touchpoints. This role is responsible for translating the technical capabilities of the AI-powered platform into relatable stories that resonate with industrial audiences. You will act as the primary storyteller, converting complex factory operations into clear, compelling content that drives trust and engagement. The position requires a blend of journalistic curiosity and marketing rigor to identify angles that highlight customer success and operational innovation. You will establish the editorial voice and visual style that defines how Squint.ai is perceived in the market. This role reports directly into the Sales & Marketing team and functions as the central content hub for all go-to-market initiatives. You will be expected to operate with autonomy, making high-impact decisions on content direction without constant oversight. Success in this role is measured by your ability to build a recognizable brand identity that supports pipeline growth and long-term awareness.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Research and produce long-form articles, social media posts, and visual stories that highlight the practical applications of AI in industrial environments.
- Interview customers and internal stakeholders to extract detailed narratives, transforming them into structured case studies and testimonial content.
- Map the customer journey to identify content gaps and opportunities for new series that address specific stages of the buying process.
- Partner with the product team to translate technical specifications into accessible language that demonstrates tangible value for operations leaders.
- Design and assemble visual assets, including graphics, short videos, and presentation materials, using AI-enabled design platforms to maintain brand consistency.
- Optimize content for search and social distribution, applying channel-specific best practices to improve discoverability and engagement rates.
- Coordinate with executive leadership to prepare speech outlines, press releases, and contributed articles that position Squint.ai as a thought leader.
- Develop standardized templates and workflows that enable the rapid production of high-quality content without sacrificing depth or accuracy.
- Track performance metrics across platforms, using data to iterate on headlines, formats, and storytelling approaches for continuous improvement.
- Scout industry events, trade shows, and public shop floors for timely content ideas that can be turned into timely campaigns and thought leadership pieces.
- Maintain a living content repository that organizes scripts, footage, and copy for easy reuse in future campaigns and sales enablement materials.
- Mentor junior contributors on tone, structure, and clarity, ensuring that all published material meets the brand's high standards.
- Liaise with external partners, including agencies and freelancers, to scale content output during peak campaign periods.
- Define the editorial calendar for the next quarter, balancing evergreen topics with reactive content tied to product updates and industry news.
Requirements
- You have a portfolio that showcases strong writing across multiple formats, including blog posts, case studies, scripts, and social posts.
- You demonstrate creative judgment through varied tone, structure, and narrative approach tailored to different audiences.
- You have a proven method for understanding audience needs, often through direct outreach, interviews, and feedback loops.
- You have experience working in a startup environment where you made independent creative and strategic decisions without heavy process.
- You maintain a clear perspective on balancing speed with quality, ensuring that content remains accurate even under tight deadlines.
- You have established methods for understanding customer motivations, challenges, and the specific factors that build trust in industrial settings.
- You know how to write with precision, clarity, and purpose, avoiding jargon while still conveying technical sophistication.
- You are familiar with channel-specific optimization techniques, including SEO basics, hashtag strategy, and platform-specific formatting rules.
- You prefer a collaborative approach to content creation, actively seeking feedback and integrating external perspectives into your work.
- You are comfortable owning ambiguous problems where the path forward is not immediately clear, relying on judgment to move projects forward.
- You have hands-on experience with at least one AI-enabled design tool such as Canva or Figma to accelerate visual production.
- You have used video editing tools like Descript or Screen Studio to assemble clips, cutdowns, and short-form narratives.
- You have a history of building an audience on at least one public platform, whether it is a blog, LinkedIn profile, or social feed.
- You understand how content performance is measured, including open rates, view duration, and downstream pipeline influence.
