Requirements
You must possess at least three years of experience in developing games or high concurrency services in production environments. You need hands-on experience with game server architecture, including matchmaking systems and real-time gameplay loops, as these form the backbone of live services. Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, databases, and networking protocols is required to design resilient and scalable solutions. You should understand version control workflows, code reviews, and testing practices, which are standard within game teams and critical for maintaining stability. The ability to work within a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment is essential, as the team solves complex engineering challenges together using a technology-agnostic and horizontal decision-making approach. You must be able to take full ownership of assigned tasks and contribute independently while remaining aligned with team goals. Strong communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners such as designers, artists, and community managers. A passion for games and a genuine interest in player behavior will help you craft solutions that resonate with the target audience. You must be committed to continuous learning and adapting to new tools, frameworks, and operational practices as the product evolves.
Nice to have
Experience with live operations, monetization mechanics, and player retention strategies is preferred because these areas directly impact the success and longevity of mobile games. Familiarity with the specific frameworks and tools used in the industry can accelerate your contribution to ongoing projects.
