You will be guiding a geographically distributed team across Europe, ensuring that data operations are reliable and effectively support numerous internal teams.

What you'll do
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of six skilled engineers, focusing on their professional development and career advancement.
- Supervise the execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring that the team meets established goals while upholding high operational standards.
- Establish the technical roadmap and architectural vision for event delivery systems and privacy-centric data solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and various cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on infrastructure priorities.
- Ensure system reliability and manage on-call responsibilities for services that process trillions of events daily.
- Cultivate a team environment that emphasizes psychological safety, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Spearhead hiring and onboarding initiatives to grow the team effectively.
- Engage in strategic planning to enhance the efficiency and scalability of data operations.
- Analyze performance metrics to drive improvements and optimize team productivity.

Requirements
- Significant experience in managing teams of senior or experienced engineers, with a strong emphasis on leadership and people management.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, conduct development discussions, and set clear performance expectations.
- A solid technical foundation in distributed data systems, event-driven architectures, or large-scale data infrastructure.
- Experience in managing distributed teams and fostering unity among members located in different regions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders across various functions and time zones.
- A results-oriented mindset, focusing on measurable outcomes rather than merely completing tasks.
