The Analytics Engineer at SpaceXAI is responsible for constructing the data systems that power rigorous quantitative analysis across the organization. What you'll do
- Architect and implement end-to-end data pipelines that process high-volume datasets using distributed processing frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, and Flink.
- Develop and deploy quantitative models and statistical frameworks that enable robust experimentation, forecasting, and measurement of key performance indicators.
- Establish and maintain data infrastructure standards to guarantee data quality, consistency, and seamless accessibility for analytical workflows across the company.
- Partner with product engineering, product management, and operations teams to convert intricate business requirements into scalable, production-ready data systems and insights.
- Design and execute A/B tests, causal analyses, and performance evaluations that generate measurable improvements in strategic metrics.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation layers for data systems to ensure reliability and enable real-time decision support for leadership.
- Optimize data processing workflows to reduce operational costs and improve system efficiency without compromising analytical rigor or data integrity.
- Mentor cross-functional team members on scalable data engineering techniques and rigorous analytical problem-solving approaches.
- Ensure all data products adhere to strict standards of reproducibility, transparency, and documentation to support long-term maintainability.
- Act as a technical leader in data architecture, guiding the selection and evolution of tools and practices across the analytics stack.
- Translate ambiguous business questions into well-defined analytical strategies that leverage data infrastructure for maximum impact.
- Collaborate with research and engineering teams to integrate advanced analytical methods into operational workflows and product features.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience building production data pipelines and infrastructure at scale.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, and Hadoop.
- Show documented expertise in statistical methods, predictive modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Maintain a solid understanding of cloud services for data storage, processing, and orchestration to support resilient architectures.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or another closely related quantitative field.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with a relentless focus on delivering business impact through reliable and maintainable systems.
