The role blends technical work with collaboration. You will develop automated solutions to replace manual, repetitive tax department tasks, act as a primary point of contact between the tax team, internal software developers, and external vendors, and design data management processes and write SQL queries to support accurate tax filings. You will also provide training to staff and management regarding new system features and updates.
Tax technology roles require both technical skill and an understanding of tax operations. Candidates with experience managing tax technology ecosystems and adapting to new software, a strong understanding of sales and use tax, value-added tax, and multinational business operations, and the ability to define reporting requirements for complex tax departments will be well prepared. Strong project management skills, including milestone and deadline tracking, are also important. The role is onsite in Hawthorne, California.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree.
- 4+ years of professional experience in tax, financial, or related systems.
- 2+ years of experience using SQL, Python, or Alteryx.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR requirements.
- Ability to work onsite in Hawthorne, CA, including long hours and weekends when necessary.

Practical notes
Salary range is $115,000 to $150,000 per year, determined by experience and skills. Total rewards include stock options, long-term incentives, discretionary bonuses, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
