About the role
The Corporate Operations Engineering team manages strategic planning and resource optimization to support business operations. You will oversee space allocation and planning across the Hawthorne campus to ensure project timelines and stakeholder needs are met. In this capacity, you will act as a critical owner of operational infrastructure, driving initiatives that align physical resources with corporate objectives. You will analyze complex spatial and logistical challenges, translating high-level requirements into executable plans that enhance efficiency. Your work will directly influence how teams interact with their environment, ensuring that facilities support innovation and collaboration. You will serve as a key liaison between technical teams and leadership, ensuring that all operational decisions are executed with precision and foresight. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of space planning records, ensuring data accuracy supports long-term strategic decisions.

What you'll do
- Optimize resources, schedules, and risk management at a strategic level, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Execute multiple concurrent projects while influencing stakeholders and meeting aggressive deadlines without compromising quality.
- Maintain space planning records using mapping or BIM software such as Revit or ArcGIS, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Coordinate with leadership and various groups to align space strategy and utilization, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage the plan of record for campus changes, including timelines, ownership, and rationale, providing clear documentation for all stakeholders.
- Develop and implement standard templates for space requests to improve consistency, reducing ambiguity and streamlining processes.
- Diagnose operational issues, identify root causes, and deploy creative solutions that address both immediate and systemic challenges.
- Present layout reviews and operational updates to stakeholders and leadership, communicating complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Leverage data analytics to inform decision-making, using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python to extract actionable insights.
- Collaborate with facilities and engineering teams to ensure that space allocations support technical requirements and operational needs.
- Utilize CAD, Revit, and Archibus to design and modify spatial layouts, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Support capacity planning initiatives, using historical data and predictive models to guide future resource allocation.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in architecture or an engineering discipline, providing a foundational understanding of design and technical principles.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in process improvement or operations, including internships, demonstrating practical application of methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software, essential for creating and modifying technical drawings and spatial models.
- Experience using Python, R, SQL, Power BI, or Excel, enabling data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR requirements, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data sets and translating them into operational strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus on critical deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage tasks from conception to completion with a high degree of accuracy.

Practical notes

Salary: Level I ($100,000 to $115,000) or Level II ($110,000 to $135,000).
- Compensation includes potential stock options, long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
