Key facts

What you'll do

• Deliver catering and event services in accordance with established timelines and quality benchmarks to ensure a seamless experience for all guests.
• Craft and serve a variety of handcrafted cocktails, ensuring adherence to precise recipes and implementing waste management practices effectively.
• Oversee bar inventory management, including placing orders with vendors and addressing any issues related to product quality.
• Ensure that all service areas, equipment, and workstations are kept clean and organized to maintain a professional environment.
• Participate in training new hospitality staff members and provide support by stepping into various roles as needed.
• Complete daily documentation, including opening and closing checklists, as well as safety logs to maintain operational efficiency.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring that dining and storage areas are properly arranged and maintained.
• Engage with guests to provide personalized service and enhance their overall experience at events and gatherings.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
• A minimum of three years of experience specifically in mixology or cocktail preparation is essential.
• At least five years of experience in food service within a customer-facing role is necessary.
• Previous bartending experience is a must to ensure familiarity with beverage service.
• Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain a Texas Food Handler and TABC Certification prior to starting.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, is required.
• To comply with ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of leadership experience in a hospitality or food service setting would be advantageous.
• Seven or more years of experience in food service, particularly in customer service roles, is preferred.
• Experience working in high-volume bars or with large-format batch cocktail programming is a plus.
• A background in pairing beverages with food and developing thematic menus would be beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a desirable skill for this role.

Skills & tools

• In-depth knowledge of food ingredients, preparation techniques, and wine service is crucial for success in this position.
• Expertise in identifying allergens and accommodating dietary restrictions is essential to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with guests and team members.
• The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance is required.
• Candidates should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, up to 10 hours daily.

Practical notes

• This role involves physical tasks such as kneeling, crouching, and twisting, as well as working in environments with temperatures exceeding 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
