Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor degree in aerospace, mechanical, chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Accumulate a minimum of 1 year of design or build experience, which may include internships, clubs, or competition teams.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of engineering fundamentals and their application in practical scenarios.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills to interpret test results and operational data effectively.
- Show resilience in managing high-pressure situations where quick decisions are essential.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
- Possess the capability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commit to upholding ITAR regulations, requiring U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, refugee, or asylee status.
- Be prepared to work extended hours and adapt to shifting operational demands as required.
- Pass background checks and meet all employment eligibility requirements as mandated by law.
Nice to have
- Accumulate 3+ years of experience with low-margin or complex electronic, fluid, structural, and mechanical systems.
- Show a proven history of handling hazardous materials such as cryogenic, high pressure, high voltage, pyrophoric, hypergolic, toxic, or flammable substances.
- Demonstrate proficiency in failure analysis and root cause identification methodologies.
- Have experience authoring technical work instructions for high-risk operations and complex procedures.
- Interpret complex electrical and mechanical schematics, drawings, and data reports with precision.
- Operate effectively with minimal supervision while managing ambiguous requirements in a fast-paced setting.
- Apply problem-solving skills to optimize processes and enhance system performance continuously.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
