In this position, you will be an integral part of the propulsion manufacturing team, overseeing testing systems and spearheading enhancements in equipment performance to ensure optimal functionality.

What you'll do
- Oversee the propulsion production testing systems to guarantee they achieve specified output goals.
- Review and analyze test logs and telemetry data to diagnose and resolve system malfunctions.
- Provide support for engineering and qualification testing, which includes setting up equipment, configuring systems, and conducting dry runs.
- Conduct investigations into equipment failures to determine root causes and implement necessary hardware or software solutions.
- Integrate new configurations into the existing production environment to enhance efficiency.
- Design and construct assembly fixtures, tooling, and shop aids to facilitate production processes.
- Suggest and implement modifications to the floor layout, design, and safety protocols aimed at increasing yield and minimizing costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing processes and equipment performance standards.
- Document test procedures and results meticulously to maintain compliance and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Train and mentor junior team members on best practices in testing and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of the propulsion manufacturing process.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- At least 2 years of relevant hands-on technical experience, or a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks, including bending, reaching, standing, and pulling.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts as necessary.
- Compliance with ITAR regulations: must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Nice to have
- An associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or a scientific field.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Experience using electronic testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Background in fabrication techniques involving CNC mills, lathes, waterjets, or bandsaws.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, including NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Knowledge of operating systems and programming languages such as Linux, Windows, Python, Bash, git, SVN, JIRA, Altium, or Mentor PCB.

- Compensation ranges based on experience: Level 1 ($34.00 - $40.00/hour), Level 2 ($38.00 - $45.00/hour), Level 3 ($42.00 - $51.00/hour).
