What you'll do
- Design and execute fulfillment and distribution strategies covering first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile operations.
- Lead logistics planning for capital expenditure and infrastructure projects, including defining scope, timelines, and risk management.
- Coordinate with factory operations, supply chain, production, and customer support teams to align logistics with business goals.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with 3PL providers, carriers, and warehouse operators.
- Analyze network performance metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve service levels.
- Ensure compliance with international trade and customs regulations for global shipments.
- Oversee the movement of oversized cargo and critical materials for large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
- Develop and maintain global distribution networks that support the rapid scaling of Starlink operations.
- Implement logistics infrastructure projects that enable efficient transport and storage of satellite hardware.
- Partner with finance teams to model logistics costs and support budget planning for distribution activities.
- Establish key performance indicators for logistics operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory flow across multiple nodes to balance supply and demand in diverse markets.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to logistics teams, promoting best practices and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all logistics activities meet regional and international requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in global or regional logistics and fulfillment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics operations across multiple countries and regions.
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs clearance, and trade compliance requirements.
- Experience leading logistics teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex logistics concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of critical logistics challenges.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, transportation networks, and third-party logistics providers.
- Willingness to travel as required for business operations and project oversight.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational integrity.
- Experience with logistics technology platforms such as WMS and TMS is required.
