What you'll do

• Build full-stack software to support vehicle prototypes, simulations, and flight data analysis.
• Create prototypes to test design theories and define technical requirements.
• Develop and optimize high-fidelity simulation and emulation software for all vehicles.
• Collaborate with internal users to refine features and improve software usability.
• Design and implement scalable backend services to handle large volumes of telemetry data.
• Integrate frontend interfaces with complex backend APIs to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to ensure system stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science plus 1+ years of software development experience, or 3+ years of professional software experience without a degree.
• 1+ years of professional experience in full-stack production web application development.
• Proficiency with JavaScript libraries including React and Redux.
• Professional experience developing applications using Python.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to comply with ITAR regulations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Capability to pass rigorous drug and alcohol testing for sensitive mission work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex software issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of software quality and reliability.
• Adaptability to fast-paced environments and shifting technical priorities.

Nice to have

• Professional experience with C++14 or newer.
• Experience with object-oriented languages like Java, Python, or C#.
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in Linux or Unix environments.
• Experience with database systems including Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle.
• History of working on large-scale software projects exceeding 100,000 lines of code.
• Experience with high-performance or concurrent computing systems.

Practical notes

• Salary for Level I is $125,000 to $150,000 per year; Level II is $145,000 to $175,000 per year.
• A 10% salary differential (up to $20,000) is provided for those with an active clearance once briefed into a classified program.
