About the role

What you'll do
Design, create, and implement menus, purchases, and goods in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve vendor relationships and optimize cost efficiency.
Identify customer needs proactively and develop responsive action plans that enhance the guest experience while reducing future operational risk and service failures.
Hire, train, schedule, and develop F&B staff to support high performance standards and foster a culture of team accountability and ownership.
Manage personnel to meet and exceed financial targets, ensuring that all labor and food costs align with budget forecasts and strategic profitability goals.
Utilize POS, Open Table, Opera, or other hospitality driven technologies to streamline service delivery, manage table operations, and generate actionable performance data.
Guide cross-functional communication to lead the implementation of efficient and effective best practices across service teams, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
Maintain up to date knowledge of food and beverage trends and local health & safety compliance regulations to ensure all operations are current, legal, and competitive.
Oversee the member, guest, and staff experience end to end, ensuring that every interaction reflects the premium standards of Soho House & Co.
Act as the operational owner for the F&B department, using data analysis to drive decisions that improve guest satisfaction and financial performance.
Ensure that all physical and operational standards are met consistently, creating an environment that supports both staff wellbeing and guest delight.
Adapt to changing priorities and demands of the venue, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem solving in high volume and fast paced environments.
Build strong relationships with vendors and partners, negotiating terms and managing contracts to secure favorable outcomes for the business.
Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth within the Dumbo location.
Champion initiatives that promote sustainability and responsible sourcing where appropriate, aligning with the broader values of the organization.
Requirements
You must hold a bachelor's degree, and the specific field of study will be confirmed A minimum of 5+ years' experience in a similar capacity is mandatory for this position.
You are detail oriented, process driven, and able to problem solve in high-volume and demanding fast-paced environments.
Experience with POS (or alternative), Open Table, Opera, or other hospitality driven technologies is necessary for success in this role.
Effective cross-functional communication is essential to guide leadership in driving efficient and effective best practices through service.
Knowledge of food and beverage trends and local health & safety compliance regulations is essential for ensuring legal and operational compliance.
You must be capable of managing personnel to meet and exceed financial targets without compromising service quality.
You are guest oriented, service minded, flexible and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate.
You are able to perform physical duties including seizing, grasping, turning, and holding objects; periodic fast paced movement across the property; lifting at least 30 pounds; and occasional kneeling, bending, crouching and climbing.
You are comfortable working under the direction of the General Manager and adhering to HR guidelines for recruitment, retention, and professional conduct.
