What you'll do

Develop and manage a robust physical security program that encompasses risk assessments, security policies, and incident response protocols to protect SoFi's facilities and employees.
Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to establish effective response plans and ensure seamless communication during incidents.
Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and best practices.
Lead training sessions for employees on security awareness, emergency procedures, and the importance of maintaining a secure workplace environment.
Manage relationships with external security vendors and service providers, ensuring that contracts are fulfilled and services are delivered to the highest standards.
Develop and maintain incident reporting protocols, ensuring that all security incidents are documented, investigated, and resolved in a timely manner.
Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats to continuously improve SoFi's physical security strategies.
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on security performance metrics, incidents, and recommendations for improvements.
Act as a point of contact for security-related inquiries from employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
Collaborate with IT and facilities management teams to integrate physical security measures with technological solutions for enhanced protection.
Participate in crisis management planning and drills, ensuring that the organization is prepared for various emergency scenarios.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in physical security management or a related field, preferably within the financial services or technology sectors.
Proven track record of developing and implementing effective security programs and policies.
Strong understanding of security technologies, including access control systems, CCTV, and alarm systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
Experience conducting risk assessments and security audits, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify potential vulnerabilities.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to physical security and workplace safety.

Nice to have

Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP) or related fields.
Experience with crisis management and emergency response planning.
Familiarity with security management software and tools.
Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
Multilingual abilities, which can enhance communication in diverse workplace settings.
