What you'll do

• Collaborate with loan officers to gather and review all necessary documentation from clients to ensure a smooth loan application process.
• Maintain accurate records of loan applications and client interactions in the company's loan management system.
• Conduct thorough pre-qualifications of loan applications to verify that all required information is complete and accurate.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on their loan status, answer questions, and address any concerns they may have.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations throughout the loan process, including adherence to SoFi's internal policies.
• Assist in preparing loan files for underwriting, ensuring that all documentation is organized and meets the necessary standards.
• Work closely with the underwriting team to facilitate timely loan approvals and resolve any issues that may arise during the underwriting process.
• Provide exceptional customer service by guiding clients through the mortgage process and ensuring their needs are met at every stage.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss workflow improvements and share best practices for enhancing the loan coordination process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage lending or a related financial services role.
• Strong understanding of mortgage products, loan processing, and underwriting guidelines.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
• Proficiency in using loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
