About the role
Socure is seeking a leader to establish and guide a new business area focused on credit scoring and related products. This role involves developing a distinctive credit intelligence business, building on Socure's existing strengths in identity verification, fraud prevention, and risk assessment. You will define the product vision and strategy from inception, translating market needs into actionable plans.

What you'll do
- Formulate the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for Socure's credit product portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Oversee the creation of products utilizing Socure's BNPL and CRA consortia, initially focusing on credit risk, underwriting, and adjacent financial services.
- Identify and prioritize product opportunities where credit reporting, identity verification, and fraud prevention intersect, turning market demands into product investments.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, and Data teams to design scalable product features, data assets, and models that enhance risk prediction and product value.
- Work with Legal and Compliance to ensure product design and market launch adhere to FCRA, CFPB, GLBA, and other regulatory standards.
- Contribute to Socure's approach to CRA formation and productization, including data handling, infrastructure, consumer disputes, and compliant operating models.
- Conduct thorough product research through market analysis, customer feedback, and competitive reviews to refine product positioning and roadmap.
- Partner with Go-to-Market, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to translate product capabilities into compelling narratives and commercial results.
- Define success metrics, business cases, and key performance indicators for the credit products, using data to guide prioritization and investment.
- Manage executive stakeholder communication, providing transparency on roadmap progress and risks.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of product managers, fostering strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration.
- Act as an internal and external expert for Socure's credit strategy, representing the company in customer discussions and industry forums.
Requirements
- 12+ years of product management experience, with significant leadership in B2B data, risk, fintech, or financial services products.
- 5+ years leading product managers or senior product leaders across a portfolio or major business area.
- In-depth knowledge of credit risk, credit scoring, underwriting, lending infrastructure, credit bureau products, first-party fraud, or BNPL.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling new or early-stage products, including vision setting and launching in regulated markets.
- Strong understanding of consumer reporting and credit product regulations, including FCRA. Familiarity with CFPB, GLBA, and dispute processes is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Commercial acumen, with experience in building business cases and evaluating monetization opportunities.
- Excellent communication and executive influence skills, capable of simplifying complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities, with a history of making sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, JD) is preferred.

The FIDO Alliance is an open industry association launched in February 2013. The organization develops and promotes authentication standards to reduce global reliance on passwords. It addresses the lack of interoperability among devices that use strong authentication. The alliance works to solve problems users face when creating and remembering multiple usernames and passwords. The association supports a full range of authentication technologies. These include biometrics such as fingerprint and iris scanners, voice recognition, and facial recognition. The standards also cover existing solutions like Trusted Platform Modules, USB security tokens, and embedded Secure Elements. Smart cards and near-field communication are supported as well. A USB security token may authenticate using a simple password or by pressing a button. The specifications emphasize a device-centric model. Authentication over an insecure channel uses public-key cryptography. A user device registers to a server by registering a public key. To authenticate, the device signs a challenge from the server using a private key stored on the device. Keys on the device are unlocked by a local user gesture such as a biometric or a button press. The alliance provides two types of user experiences depending on the protocol used. Both protocols define a common interface at the client for any local authentication method the user exercises.
