About the role
This position is for a highly skilled technical security architect focused on helping customers implement robust security measures for the Snowflake AI & Data Cloud. You will be a key expert in South Korea, bridging global cloud architecture with local regulatory requirements. This role requires a hands-on approach to designing and evangelizing secure, compliant data and AI solutions.

What you'll do
- Define security feature enhancements for the local market by collaborating with product and engineering teams.
- Promote Snowflake adoption by guiding customers and engineering teams on building secure, Korea-compliant data and AI architectures.
- Work with various internal teams including Sales, Product, and Marketing to boost customer security feature adoption.
- Partner with product marketing to promote Snowflake's AI and Data Cloud security posture and Security DataLake workloads through marketing events.
- Act as a security expert within the Field CTO team, collaborating on Enterprise AI, Gen AI, Data Engineering, and Applications.
- Share knowledge with internal and external communities through webinars and conferences.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of information security experience, with at least 5 years specifically in cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Korean CSPs like Naver Cloud/NHN).
- Native or professional business fluency in written and spoken Korean for regulatory filings and technical documentation.
- Professional-level English for global team collaboration.
- 10+ years of industry, customer-facing, and hands-on implementation experience focusing on data concepts, privacy, governance, networking, and security technologies.
- Excellent presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
- Experience selling enterprise SaaS software and working in the South Korean market.
- Proven experience designing and managing physical and logical network separation and data localization for highly regulated industries in Korea.
- In-depth working knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and its security, data encryption, and networking architecture.
- Advanced understanding of IAM/RBAC, OAuth, identity governance (SCIM), TCP/IP, IP routing, DNS, proxies, and CSP private networking (NAT, Firewalls, TLS, PrivateLink).
- Practical exposure to modern security vectors, including AI Security principles and emerging non-human identity frameworks like Agentic Identity.
- Experience with audit lifecycle management, including gap assessments, control implementations, and evidence collection.
- Ability to build demos, configure CSP environments, and test use cases on the Snowflake platform.
- Ability to create and articulate security and networking reference architectures and best practices to customers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, and how to apply them in a risk assessment approach.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Direct experience leading or supporting a successful CSAP certification framework (Low, Mid, or High tier).
- Direct experience navigating the K-FSI CSP Safety Evaluation process.
- Clear working knowledge of South Korean data privacy and cloud legislation, including Article 23-2 of the Cloud Computing Act, EFTA, and PIPA.
- AWS/Azure/GCP security and/or networking specialty certification.
- Hands-on expertise with SQL, Python, and APIs.
- Hands-on expertise with software containerization in Kubernetes, including Terraform.
- Background or experience in Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Infosec Auditing with relevant accreditations.
- Security operations experience in a Security Operations Environment.
- Experience implementing cloud security architectures or handling compliance programs within Korean Manufacturing, Telecom, Financial Services, or Retail sectors.
- Valid global security credentials (CISSP, CISM, or CISA) paired with official K-ISMS-P Lead Auditor/Assessor credentials.
- Prior experience working within a live Security Operations Center (SOC) or threat-hunting environment.
- Technical pre-sales or architecture experience supporting enterprise cloud or SaaS software sales cycles.
