As an Opcenter Execution Core Developer at Bamboohr, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our manufacturing execution systems. What you'll do
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the Opcenter Execution platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software components that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and enhance overall functionality.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability in production environments.
- Implement best practices in software development, including version control, code reviews, and documentation to maintain high standards of code quality.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of features and improvements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and internal teams, addressing issues related to the Opcenter Execution system.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in manufacturing execution systems, incorporating new technologies and methodologies into our development processes.
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop comprehensive testing strategies and ensure that all software releases meet quality assurance standards.
- Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Analyze system performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for enhancement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with third-party vendors and partners to integrate external systems and services into the Opcenter Execution platform.
- Document all development processes, system configurations, and user guides to facilitate knowledge transfer and support future development efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial automation sectors.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with database management systems, including SQL Server or Oracle, and familiarity with data modeling concepts.
- Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and their role in production environments is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and deployment practices will be advantageous.
Nice to have
- Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or similar.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of IoT technologies and their application in manufacturing settings.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React or Angular for full-stack development capabilities.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in software development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, and JIRA.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services for system integration.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices related to software development.

- This position is based in Bangalore, KA, and may require occasional travel to client sites or other company locations.
